S. Martin Keleti

Martin Keleti has been a board member of his neighborhood association for two decades and published the quarterly newsletter for the predecessor organization for most of his tenure there.

Martin is a graduate of UCLA and UC Hastings College of the Law. When Martin returned from law school in San Francisco and settled into a home of his own, he moved into The Outpost, which coincidentally is served by the same elementary school that he attended when he moved to Los Angeles at the age of five.

A practicing lawyer for more than a quarter-century, Martin is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia. He has litigated cases in such diverse areas of law as intellectual property, entertainment, civil rights, contracts, torts, real estate, probate, and family law. He has participated in precedent-setting cases as well as cases which have attracted public attention because of the celebrities involved. He has practiced at all levels of the state and federal judiciary, from administrative agencies and trial courts to both the California Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to serving on his voluntary neighborhood association’s board, Martin served on his synagogue’s board of directors for some time, and has participated in an annual charity bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles for more than 20 years, raising tens of thousands of dollars in the fight against AIDS.
