Outpost Neighborhood Association 2025 Board of Director Elections
The Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) Officers and Directors (the “Board”) is comprised of unpaid volunteers that are residents in Outpost Estates. The ONA Board is made up nine positions: four Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and five Directors that all volunteer their time to Chair or Co-Chair various Committees, or support ONA in other ways. Click here to see the 2024 Board for reference.
The ONA Board is elected for a one year term each January at the in-person ONA Annual Meeting by current ONA supporters. Once the Board of Directors are elected at the ONA Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors then vote on which of the Board of Directors will serve as the four Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) for the one year term.
The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. Click here to see a calendar of upcoming meetings and events.

Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA)
is only as successful as our wonderful volunteers!
Consider volunteering your time, skills and expertise to help improve our Outpost Estates community! Here’s a list of volunteer opportunities and a general description of the duties and estimated time commitment:
President: generally supervises and directs ONA’s activities and affairs and speaks on behalf of ONA. Presides at all meetings of the Board and prepares the ONA Annual Report. About 15 to 20 hours a month.
Vice President: supports the President’s duties, fills in during the President’s absence and checks the ONA post office box for correspondence. About 8 to 10 hours a month.
Secretary: prepares agendas, does a roll call, and takes the minutes of Board meetings. Drafts and maintains the Board standing operating procedures and Board orientation materials for new Directors and Officers and maintains all ONA documents. About 10 hours a month.
Treasurer: prepares an annual budget, tracks monthly expenses and revenues, and prepares financial reports for the Board. Prepares and certifies financial statements, taxes, and all reports with the California Franchise Tax Board and the IRS to maintain tax exempt status. Renews errors and omissions and general liability insurance annually. About 10 hours a month.
Beautification: our hillside setting is filled with marvelous flora and fauna. With our diligent and prudent care, we can continue to beautify Outpost Estates. Helping manage the maintenance of the landscaped traffic islands, tree planting, signage, and neighborhood cleanups are a great way to get involved! About 5 hours a month.
Events: help bring together neighbors and foster a sense of community! There is always a need for volunteers to coordinate and host cocktail parties, BBQs, and other neighborhood events and encourage and gather volunteers from within our community to participate in each event. About 5 hours a month.
Marketing & Communication: Works to spread the word about ONA’s mission, goals, events and accomplishments and helps to get the message out about the help we need and the advantages of becoming a current supporter. We’re always in need of energetic volunteers to create news stories and help maintain the OutpostEstates.com website and social media accounts, create and send the monthly ONA newsletter, send out mailers, post signs, write emails – and more! In many ways it is attraction rather than promotion that will drive higher support for ONA. About 5 hours a month.
Recruitment: From maintaining our supporter contact and fundraising database, to welcoming new neighbors and inviting neighbors to join our organization as a supporter, we are always on the look out for volunteers to assist with recruitment activities. About 5 hours a month.
Rewards & Experiences: help distribute Hollywood Bowl tickets to neighbors and supporters, and reach out to local businesses and community groups to foster partnerships! About 5 hours a month.
Traffic & Safety: works with local agencies and the Hollywood Bowl to improve traffic, awareness, and offer solutions to transportation and traffic concerns and increase a general sense of well-being in Outpost Estates. About 5 hours a month.
Other Duties: ONA has other duties that require Board volunteers. This includes volunteers to:
represent ONA at the Hollywood Bowl Advisory Group meetings;
coordinate with other surrounding non-profit community groups like Aviva Family & Children Services to volunteer;
coordinate with the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council;
apply for grants for ONA projects;
help print flyers/mailers, stuff envelopes, and deliver them to neighbors;
and keep and share the history of ONA and Outpost Estates and share that information with ONA Board members and stakeholders.
About 5 hours a month.
