Support Outpost Neighborhood Association for 'Giving Tuesday' on Tuesday, December 3, 2024

Giving Tuesday is 'a global initiative that encourages people and organizations to donate their time and money to charitable causes on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States.' #GivingTuesday for 2024 falls on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Please consider donating to Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) for #GivingTuesday this year! There are a few ways to support ONA on #GivingTuesday:

1) Renew your current annual ONA contribution or become a new ONA annual supporter!

• Annual contributions start at $100 per year (that's less than $9 per month)!

• Become a 'Steward of Outpost' and be recognized (or remain anonymous) by donating $200 for the 'Contributor' level, $350+ for the 'Patron' level, and $500+ for the 'Champion' level.

• ONA is an entirely volunteer-led organization, so 100% of donations support neighborhood initiatives, maintain and beautify our traffic islands and other public spaces, host community events, and cover our minimal organizational overhead (like insurance and website fees), maximizing the positive impact on our community.

• As ONA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with Tax ID 83-2513559, donations may be tax-deductible.

• Benefits of being an annual supporter include getting access to free Hollywood Bowl and The Ford concerts (see here) and enjoying exclusive discounts at nearby restaurants and businesses, such as a 25% discount at Yamashiro.

2) Donate to help build three remaining landscaped traffic islands on Outpost Drive!

• Help enhance the safety and beauty of our neighborhood by contributing to the capital fundraising for building three new traffic islands on Outpost Drive

• ONA has raised 52% of the $190,000 needed for the project ($99,695 raised so far)!

• Neighbors Ray and Dia Schuldenfrei have pledged to match up to $1,000 in donations to both help fund the project and to encourage others to do the same (read more about it here).

• Taking into account the matching donation, our funding gap is currently about $91,000. We can fill our funding gap if:

  • 100 neighbors donate $910

  • 200 neighbors donate $455

  • 300 neighbors donate $303

  • 400 neighbors donate $227
