National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The Hollywood National Night Out event is designed to bring the community and police together in a fun, positive, and relaxed atmosphere. It is a chance for residents, businesses and community groups to get together and make connections.
Community-Police Advisory Boards (CPAB) were created to provide community members with an opportunity to provide information and advice to their respective Area and to take information from the Police Department back to the community. Each of the 21 Geographic Areas (Community Police Stations) throughout Los Angeles has its own CPAB. Each CPAB has two co-chairs, the Area Commanding Officer and a Civilian Member.
