What Board position(s) are you interested in? Secretary
Which Committee(s) are you interested in serving as Chair or Co-Chair? Beautification
Why you are running to be on the ONA Board? Having been an Outpost Estates resident for close to 50 years I feel a real sense of pride and of belonging here in our special neighborhood. My experiences in working with City agencies in a variety of capacities both as a businessman and resident over the years coupled with understanding the needs of residents when living in a large metropolis such as ours has uniquely equipped me with many skills and I feel can work to the advantage of the Outpost Estates by being a member of the board of the ONA. By taking this action, I hope to help bring about a continued effort to bring all residents of the Outpost Estates together in a harmonious way and to continue to do the work necessary to support safety and beauty for all people who call this place home.

What Board position(s) are you interested in? President, Treasurer, Director
Which Committee(s) are you interested in serving as Chair or Co-Chair? Beautification, Marketing & Communications, Traffic & Safety
Why you are running to be on the ONA Board? If I am elected to the Outpost Board of Directors, I would concentrate on the following: Transparency - being sure to keep all meetings public, publish an annual budget for members to review and comment on, and relaying my communications with other BoD members and outside groups. Fostering Community - helping to provide and organize opportunities for residents to participate in the Outpost and nearby. From Wattles Garden to the Highland Cottages, to Mulholland Drive and Runyon Canyon, we have amazing resources we can better put to use and enjoy. Completing Initiatives - we have spent decades trying to complete traffic islands, change signage, enhance traffic patterns, and work with the Hollywood Bowl. We must refine our priorities. We need to finely tune our efforts and communicate what we are doing better. Promoting Outpost - we live in an amazing neighborhood, that is often taken for granted. We need to work with elected officials to better secure resources, reach out to the business community to partner on our goals, and inform Outpost residents on what is available win our gem of a neighborhood. I would appreciate your vote and support.

Why you are running to be on the ONA Board? I am running for the position that I currently hold on the ONA board. As a 4 1/2 year resident of Outpost Estates I am relatively new to the neighborhood, but I walk our beautiful streets several times a week, and meet more and more neighbors on each outing. I love to discuss the attributes and goals of ONA with those who want to know more, or those who are deeply engaged in our neighborhood well-being. Similarly, I really enjoy the outreach to our neighbors who are passionate about attending the concerts and events that we're lucky enough to have on offer so close by. As a longtime radio host, DJ, and producer, I have a special affinity with live music of all genres, so this ONA position means a lot to me as it affords me the opportunity of sharing my enthusiasm for music and culture with my Outpost neighbors.

Why you are running to be on the ONA Board? I am a homeowner in Outpost Estates and have served on the Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) Board for the past four years in various capacities. I most recently served as Treasurer and Co-Chair of the Traffic & Safety Committee. I helped reduce ONA costs by updating the new www.outpostestates.com website, establishing the ONA google workspace for file and email management, and helped launch the donation platform, GiveButter. Additionally, I helped secure the $25,000 ONA grant from Live Nation Hewitt Silva to install three new traffic islands on Outpost Drive. I am an active stakeholder and fierce advocate for solving issues that affect our neighborhood. I represent ONA on the Hollywood Bowl Community Advisory group and engage with neighbors and stakeholders to reduce neighborhood speeding, thru traffic, and stop sign violations and increase neighborhood awareness of and deter future crime activity in the neighborhood.
